    September  5, 6, and 7, 2008
Note - This is not an "Official" Scouting website, it is my website, making me solely responsible for any and all content on here.
I will continue to bring you relevant Upcoming Reunion Information as soon as it becomes available to me just as I have in the past.

April 13/08  Spring Log-N-Beads is online at the "Official CEC website (see link above).

Rules are the same as last year - no changes.  Registration Package is there as well.

The deadline for building rental requests is May 1/08  -see Log-N-Beads for details.
(???) ... (see below)

The Reunion Committee has passed a motion this year that the buildings will be rented out to Committee members first, and then if any are left, they will go to the general membership
- - -  so I guess if your Contingent really wants to ensure that you get a building, perhaps you should consider running for Committee.

Also, for any of you who were thinking of putting your name forward as secretary of the Reunion Committee, this position is no longer on a 5-year rotation ... it was made permanent a couple of years ago.

June      Blue Springs Camp is going "Green"     ...... Pack it in, Pack it out

Blue Springs Scout Reserve is implementing a Zero Garbage Program to completely eliminate any non-recyclable or non-reusable materials.  Which means that if your group brings any of these materials to camp you will have to take them home with you.

One of the main reasons most people do not recycle or compost is because they say it is too difficult or too much extra work.
Blue Springs Camp
will make it easy for you by providing you with easy access to Blue Box containers and Compost Bins.   New Compost Bins and Blue Boxes are near every Lodge and Campsite

There will also be small garbage bins available Gilwell weekend with extra Blue Bins and clear bags. Compost waste can be put in labeled garbage cans or directly in the compost bins.
There will be blue bins in all of the parking areas, on the fields and in the buildings.

(While this info is not yet  (as of June 27th) on the "Official Reunion Website" it is my understanding that literature has been sent out to the Contingents with all the details.  If you require a copy, drop me an e-mail and I will send it on to you.... please put Gilwell Reunion in the subject line so I don't accidently delete your e-mail as spam).

  See you at the Reunion!

             Have a Nice Day!     Brigitte
